Campers can enjoy a sandy beach on Little River with shallow water. Experience the sounds of the Little River at one of the four campsites at White Creek Campground. There is a scenic cliff with various kinds of vegetation located 1/4-mile downstream on the Overhang Trail (1509). Three of the four campsites are walk-in only. High Cascades glaciation, whitewater rapids, and explosive geologic events have shaped the distinctive landscape on the 983,239 acres of forest that provides spectacular scenery as well as an abundance of natural and cultural resources. Verdant stands of hemlock, fir and cedar transition to forests of mixed conifers and hardwoods at lower elevations, while alpine ecosystems dominate high peaks. The translation of the word "Umpqua," meaning "thundering waters," defines the area. Directions

From Roseburg turn onto OR-138 E/NE Diamond Lake Blvd. Continue on OR-138 E for approximately 16 miles until you reach Little River Road #17. Follow Little River Road for 17 miles to Forest Service (FS) Road #2792, Red Butte Road. Continue on FS Road #2792 for 1/4 mile to White Creek Campground on the left side of the road.
